The Turner Community Development Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the Ellwood City area and all of Western Pennsylvania through scholarship and community outreach programs. The Turner Community Development Foundation was started in 2009 by the K.C. Turner family to enhance the lives of Ellwood City area residents.

Of utmost importance to the Foundation is the quality of education in Western Pennsylvania. The Foundation has made it a priority to help local schools, especially in the use of technology in the classroom, as well as students who wish to pursue higher education and a career in a high-tech field.

The Turner Community Development Foundation also is partnering with the Community Development Outreach Fund to enhance technology programs at
Riverside High School and Hickory High School. In 2011 the Turner Community Development Foundation is expanding its scholarship program to Lincoln High School.

The Ellwood City Ledger
recently reported on the programs being started at Riverside High School.
